何が私の頭の中で起こっているのですか？
1991年3月21で、私はシカゴで生まれましたが、私は私の家族ので、何も覚えていない、と私は約歳だったとき、私は日本をバックアップするために行ってきました。技術的には私の最初の言語が日本語であるので、私が育った時間のほとんどは、日本にいました。

Study Abroad in America

-What’s Going on in My Head?-

In 1991 on march 21st, I was born in Chicago but I don’t remember anything because my family, and I went to back Japan when I was about a year old. Most of the time I spent growing up was in Japan so technically my first language is Japanese.

It was about 3 years ago, I graduated from Kokushikan University in Japan I got a business degree. I was suppose to work somewhere but at the time I really didn’t want to work and I wanted to do something new. I told my parents about how I wanted to learn English in the United States and they gave me a chance to come the United States to study abroad. I think it was good decision. I have been here in Kansas City for about 2 years and 6 months. Now I am living with 4 American friends and two dogs. So I learn English at all times everyday and I get so many new experiences in American life which I really like.

Actually I have learned English in Japan when I was high school student. But I think my high school English education was really bad. Because they taught us how to write and read English. But they didn’t teach us how to use English in our life. So of course I had some problems with English when I came here.

When I was afraid to use English One of my friends, he is also international student but his English is really good. I asked him “so…why is your English really good? Have you studied a lot?” and he answered it and told me “No…Do you translate when you talk to somebody, Sushi?” I said “Of course! Dude! I have to translate in my head when I talk to someone.” He told me “You shouldn’t care about it. Don’t translate in your head when you use English. I know it is difficult to do that. But it will help you a lot”

I try it every single time but it is really difficult to do that.

I think my English is getting better little by little. I hope I will be able to use English without translating.

私は米国に来たときに留学します

私はまだ一日を覚えています。これは、6月7日、2013年でした。私は留学のために米国に到着しました。それは私の人生で最大の課題の一つである可能性があるため、私はかなり緊張していました。私は一つのことを心配しました。私はアメリカの食べ物が好きかないであろうことを確認しませんでした。
私は、成田国際空港の近くにあったホテルに宿泊しました。私の両親は仕事をしていたので、私は自分でした。私は早朝に目が覚め、シャワーを取った、私の歯をブラッシングし、朝食を食べ、私はパスポート、携帯電話、お金、および搭乗券のようなすべてのものを持っていたことを確認しました。その後、私はホテルをチェックアウトし、シャトルバスで空港に行ってきました。私がそこに着いたと飛行機が待っていたゲートに行ってきました。私は飛行機に乗って私の座席を取りました。私は通路側の席に座っていました。私はスリープ状態にしようと、私は非常によく眠ることができました。私はかなり長い間眠っていました。飛行機が着陸したので、私は目が覚めたとき、私は驚きました。

What Changed My Mind?

-When I Came the United States to Study Abroad-

I still remember the day. It was June 7^th, 2013; I arrived in the United States for study abroad. I was pretty nervous because it could be one of the biggest challenges in my life. I was worry about one thing. I was not sure that I would like American food or not.

I stayed in the hotel that was near Narita International Airport. I was by myself because my parents had to work. I woke up early in the morning and took a shower, brushed my teeth, ate breakfast, and made sure I had everything like passport, phone, money, and boarding pass. After that I checked out the hotel and went to the airport by shuttle bus. I got there and went to the gate where the plane was waiting. I got in the airplane and took my seat. I sat in the aisle seat. I tried to sleep and I could sleep very well. I slept for quite a long time. I was surprised when I woke up because the airplane was landing.

So I arrived at Atlanta International airport and I was so hungry because I did not eat anything in the airplane so I started to look for a restaurant. I walked around about 5 min. I found a restaurant, which was Chipotle. I was not sure it was good or not because it was first time to see the restaurant in my life and Mexican food is not popular in Japan. I still clearly remember that time. I ordered a bowl with white rice, black beans, steak, mild salsa, corn, sour cream, cheese, and lettuce. I paid and got it.

I was shocked when I took a bite of the bowl because it tasted amazing and also Chipotle changed my mind. And it had released from the worry. I felt like I can eat this every meal. 

I really love Chipotle so much. I eat chipotle at lease twice in a week. Unfortunately there is no Chipotle in Japan. So I am sure I am going to miss it when I go back to Japan.
